Summary:A new Antarctic lysianassid amphipod, Orchomene hureaui sp.n. from Addlie Land is described and illustrated. The male is unknown. The 2 females were from the stomach of an Adelie penguin. Its epistome is straight and is just in front of the upper lip. The lateral cephalic lobes are rounded and eyes are present. Coxa I is trapezoidal and wide distally, the carpus of gnathopod I shorter than propodite and with no postero-distal lobe, the palm is transverse, slightly convex and deeply toothed. Gnathopod II is subchelate and coxa V has subequal inferior lobes. Uropod III has long setose branches and the telson is divided. The ecology and relations with other Orchomene spp are discussed.
