Summary:Mouse-like rodents diversity, distribution and abundance were studied in the Pavilniai, Verkiai regional parks and of Naujakiemis village (Vilnius region). The state of rodents was evaluated in this territory for the period 2005 – 2008. A total of 9 mouse-like rodent species were registered during this investigation: field mouse (Apodemus agrarius), yellow-necked mouse (A. flavicollis), harvest mouse (Micromys minutus), bank vole (Myodes glareolus), water vole (Arvicola amphibius), common vole (Microtus arvalis), tundra vole (M. oeconomus), field vole (M. agrestis), muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus). Mouse-like rodents abundance during the warm season may increase from 3 to 4 times. Were found that in dry grass and shrub burning in the spring strongly influenced mouse-like rodents abundance, especially of bank vole.
