Description
Summary:Esox lusius L. and Rutilus rutilus L. from the upper Dniester basin manifest a considerable variability of meristic characters, that reflects the plasticity of the above-mentioned species in connection with their eurybiontness. Both species are more fruitful, as compared with the same species from the Dnieper, its reservoirs and other basins. The growth rate of Esox lusius L. from the upper Dniester basin is similar to the growth of the upper Pechora form. Esox lusius L. is used by the fishery industry intensively; Rutilus rutilus L. is more essential for feeding of predatory fish.
