Filed in: UW - President's Residence (#488) Originally built as the New York Building for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (1909), it was then used as the President's Residence until 1927. It was then remodeled as the Music Building. The building was of frame construction. The outside walls were of stucco, but were later covered over with clapboard.
