In 1906, the largest codfishing fleet yet assembled on Puget Sound sailed for the Bering Sea grounds from Seattle, Tacoma and Anacortes, consisting of the schooners, CARRIER DOVE, FANNY DUTARD, LIZZIE COLBY, MAID OF ORLEANS, HAROLD BLEKUM, FORTUNA, JOSEPH RUSS AND ALICE. Their catch totaled 1,014,618 fish. (pg. 123) Notes from Gordon Newell, ed., The H.W. McCurdy Marine History of the Pacific Northwest (Seattle: Superior Publishing Co, 1966). In 1924 her name was changed to Old Maid No. 2.
