Summary:On verso of image: Cod fish vessel and dorries, Bering Sea. The MAID OF ORLEANS was a two-masted schooner of 180 tons built at San Francisco in 1882 for the South Seas trade. She was acquired by the Pacific Coast Codfish Co. In 1906, the largest codfishing fleet yet assembled on Puget Sound sailed for the Bering Sea grounds from Seattle, Tacoma and Anacortes, consisting of the schooners, CARRIER DOVE, FANNY DUTARD, LIZZIE COLBY, MAID OF ORLEANS, HAROLD BLEKUM, FORTUNA, JOSEPH RUSS AND ALICE.
