Jefferson Handwritten on verso: Mrs. Charles More, Port Townsend, Washington Postmarked: August 8, 1905 Filed in Ships - J Wooden passenger steamer Jefferson was constructed in 1904 by Ed Heath in Tacoma for the Alaska Steamship Company. She replaced the Humboldt, which was owned by the same company. Jefferson was the company's first vessel to weigh in at over 1000 tons and was placed into the care of Captain Gus Nord. She was dismantled in 1925.
