Summary:PH Coll 247.498 Owned by the Alaska Steamship Company, the MARIPOSA sustained damage on a rock ledge at the upper end of Fitzhugh Sound. She was refloated by the Esquimalt salvage steamer SALVOR, towed south and drydocked at the Seattle Construction and Drydock Co. on November 15. The passengers were rescued within two hours and landed at Ketchikan.
