Description
Summary:Excerpt from text: On behalf of the State Commission for this exposition, I can say to you, and through you, to the people of the State of Washington, that we hope to assemble here, upon these grounds, an exhibit of which we will be justly proud. It is a vast enterprise. It will require an infinite amount of labor and painstaking. We feel the weight of responsibility. The people of the State have been lavish in the appropriation of money for this undertaking. It will be the constant aim of the state commision to make a display in keeping with twentieth century ideals."
