Summary:Vice President and General Manager, Washington Title Insurance Co., Vice President, Seattle Trust Co. PH Coll 512.5.5 Edward Payson Tremper Sr. was born Feb. 16, 1860 in Fulton, Illinois. Worked at Osborne, Tremper & Co, which became the Seattle Trust & Title Company. Later went to work at the Washington Title Insurance Company, founded by his brother Henry in 1911. Died May 1944 in Seattle. In 1902 he purchased a large tract of land at Yarrow Point, and imported holly stock from England to plant on it. By the 1920s, he owned the largest holly farm in the United States.
