Summary:Shows (l to r): old Bagley Hall (originally the art museum for the AYPE and later the Architecture Hall), old Meany Hall (originally built as the auditorium for the AYPE), the Science Hall (now Parrington Hall), the Armory (originally the Oriental Building for the AYPE), the Law Building obscured by trees (originally the Oregon State Building for the AYPE), the Museum (originally the Forestry Building for the AYPE), the Engineering Hall (orginally the Machinery Pavilion for the AYPE), and the Music Pavilion. Handwritten on image: University of Washington PH Coll 95 These buildings were originally built for the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition held in Seattle in 1909. The Oregon State building was demolished in 1917. The Oriental building, used as an armory after the Exposition, was torn down in 1920, as was the Music Pavilion. The Forestry Building, used as a museum until 1927, was destroyed in 1930. Old Meany Hall was torn down in 1965 due to extensive earthquake damage. L.G. Linkletter worked as a photographer in the University District from 1906 till his death in 1937. He photographed many University events, buildings and students and was also known for his images of Mount Rainier National Park.
