He is guided on his trips by carvings on trees, which serve some of the functions road signs do in contemporary road systems. Artist information: Richard Beasley (Rick) was born on 11/20/57, grew up in Juneau, Alaska and presently lives there. He graduated in 1983 from the UW with a BFA in Metal Design.
