Summary:This ribbon celebrates the visit President William Howard Taft made to the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (AYPE) in Seattle on September 30th, 1909. Taft Day was attended by nearly 61,000 people, making it one of the most popular days at the fair overall. President Taft came to the fair heavily guarded as President William McKinley had been assassinated in 1901 at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York.
