Summary: | Images documenting the Radiological Survey of Eniwetok, Bikini and Rongelap Atolls between July and September 1964. Caption with image: There was a beautiful sunset the night we lay at anchor off Kabelle Island at Rongelap. The lagoon was flat and reflected the brilliant colors in the sky. Just after noon the next day, the RAN-ANNIM steamed through the atoll's Northeast Passage, skirted Rongelap Island and turned west for Eniwetok. The ship passed in sight of Ailinginae Atoll during the afternoon--and the next landfall was Parry Island late the next day.
