Summary:Far left pattern: Dress in black velvet with narrow inset sleeves and a high collar in white fur. Straight skirt is ruched along the sides and back and finished with a pleated fan of black and white velvet applied at the back of the skirt. Back of dress trimmed with a matching strip of pleated velvet running from the collar to the fan. Dress finished with a silk flower attached at the nape below the collar. Left pattern: Two-tiered wrap in pink velvet. Collar and jagged edge of top tier trimmed with a wide band of white fox fur. Pleated cape in pink velvet attaches under top tier at back and hangs to hem of lower tier. Center pattern: Sleeveless dress in white satin with an unfitted bodice and low, straight neckline. Skirt is straight with a pleated apron panel applied at the back and fastened at a low waistline in the front. Straps of lace and coral rhinestones, with lace and rhinestones continuing down the sides of the dress. Right pattern: Sleeveless dress in pleated gray chiffon with a small bustle and low, straight neckline. Worn under a printed crepe de Chine sheath with oval-shaped cut-outs at the back top and bottom which expose the chiffon underdress. Far right pattern: Long-sleeved dress in pink Peau de France crepe with narrow inset sleeves and a V-shaped neckline. Unfitted bodice with a low waistline, and a two-tiered pleated skirt. Front of bodice is trimmed with flounces of crepe that join with the top tier of the skirt. The artistic director of Les Idees Nouvelles is G.P. Joumard.
