Description
Summary:This is a map of the Mayak production site which is called Chelyabinsk-65. This is from the talk we had with the Russian academy of scientists. This is a site that shows where the Techa River runs into the Arctic Ocean. It is to the right of this slide. The Chelyabinsk-65 site is where the processing of the nuclear fuel for plutonium was. The little town called Kras above that is where the workers who worked in that processing plant lived. Again, this is called the Mayak site. It is one of the ones in the southern Urals of the weapons production areas.
