| Summary: | I took this slide of an evening exercise out on this dome at the South Pole. One of the things that people did is that after a hard day’s work, one wanted to relax, and so quite often you would go into the bar and have a drink or watch a movie and afterwards, since it was always sunlight outside, we would come out and go dome sledding. What they would do was to take a banana sled, climb to the top of the aluminum dome where the snow had piled up against it, and you would crowd as many of your friends as you could get onto a banana sled and then start going down the dome.
