This shows the C-130 Hercules landing at the geographic South Pole. There’s nothing but snow there, so the airplane is fine to land on the strip that is kind of knocked down by tractors to compress the snow a little bit. But it brings up a whole cloud of snow when the turboprop reverses its engines....
