Summary:This shows the National Science Foundation headquarters at McMurdo station. It was a nice A-frame that had just been built the year before. This is where all of the NSF people who were in charge of the Antarctic program were based. Occasionally, they will go from here back to McMurdo or to the other stations like South Pole, but most of them stay here in McMurdo during the Antarctic summertime, arranging and coordinating the logistics of moving people around the Antarctic continent.
