| Summary: | This is looking at the camp at McMurdo station. The buildings that are all around there are normally for the military. Civilians are only in 3 of these buildings in the center area. Almost all the rest of them are for the military people area that are running logistics or for storage of the materials for the other stations. The big building in white in the center is mainly for troops that do the work of unloading and loading the food and other supplies to the other stations. You see many oil tanks in the background. These oil tanks are filled up by tankers during the summer, and then the oil is flown into places like the South Pole station, Bird station, and the others all by air.
