Summary:This report was authored and produced by members of the University of Victoria and Université Laval, in consultation with the presenters and their respective organizations. This report details the activities and outcomes of the ArcticNet 2022 side event 'Moving from understanding to action on food security in Inuit Nunangat'. The session brought together stakeholders, researchers, and representatives working on the issue of food security from community and regional organizations, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, Nutrition North Canada (NNC) and several academic institutions. The purpose of the meeting was to mobilize knowledge by providing program updates (e.g., NNC, and the Inuit Nunangat Food Security Strategy Implementation Plan) and opportunities for feedback, in addition to discussing barriers to and opportunities for action on food security in communities.
