Description
Summary:The paper proves the necessity of social innovations in Ukraine. Relevance of the topic is underscored by dissatisfaction of the population with the quality of their lives and political situation. Substantiates the thesis, that social innovations will help Ukraine, as a young country, to grow naturally, in the right direction, and at the same time avoiding possibility of social unrest, extreme degree of expression of which is revolution. As a necessary condition for the understanding of the subject, the article analyzes the term "social innovation" and describes the stages of its implementation in society in such order: selection, adaptation and integration. The theoretical grounding of the paper’s goal is the author’s appeal to the works of: Peter Sztompka "Sociology of Social Change " and Michel Crozier "A modest State is a modern State: strategies for another change." It gives understanding of their attitude to social innovations, social movements and to the role of the state and personality in the description of object. At the same time described the main principles of social innovative activity, which are: principle of simplicity (reduction hierarchy and augmentation space for a human), principle of autonomy (person should have the freedom to act and take responsibility for this), principle of management through the culture (transition from complex horizontal and vertical structures to simple formations). Author proves the necessity of interdisciplinary interaction of political science and sociology in considering and implementing of social innovations. The reason is the complexity of the subject of social innovation, which is the state, society and the creative class as a part of population. As a result, success will depend on the coordination and the correlation of state and public institutions, availability of legal basis and understanding of officials the necessity of such way of development. The United Kingdom (Social Innovation Camp) and Finland (Physicians Against Nuclear Weapons; "North Karelia project"; social control committees in parliament and special buildings for vulnerable segments of the population) are used as the examples of the countries with advanced and successful social innovations in this paper. And ascertained the fact, that a lot of countries like Nigeria, North Korea, Australia, Slovakia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic are used this innovations after United Kingdom and Finland. Socially innovative activities in Ukraine is compared with the examples, based on the materials of the international scientific-practical conference, which declares the main social innovative areas of Ukraine as: innovations in the field of social security (pension reform); youth policy (social protection of children and youth); social issues of market and social work in Ukraine. The main conclusions of this comparing are: lack of focus on the creative class from the state during social innovations, excessive abstraction of goals; absolute role of legislative and executive power in innovation activities. Thus is proved that Ukraine needs social innovations, which must be visible to everyone. Not too wide, but simple and clear to the public, that enhance the lives of ordinary citizens. Start with focusing on the international experience in this area, with a gradual transition to independent practice, but with mandatory orientation on creative class. In this way life satisfaction of Ukraine inhabitants will grow and the country will avoid conflicts.
