Summary:On the example of using elements of the electronic educational envi-ronment – the SAKAI platform – ad the features of training specialists – hydrometeorologists at the NARFU are consided. The expediency of such training is due to the vast size of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, the presence of remote weather stations and the strategic importance of the Arctic region of studying. Рассматриваются особенности подготовки специалистов-гидрометеорологов на примере использования элементов электронной образовательной среды – платформы SAKAI – в НАРФУ. Целесообразность такой подготовки обусловлена огромными размерами Арктической зоны Российской Федерации, наличием удаленных метеостанций и стратегической значимостью Арктического региона обучения.
