Description
Summary:Summary. Monitoring studies of plant communities’ transformation, as well as study of biodiversity restoration dynamics at recultivated ash dump at Nizhneturinskaya power station located in Nizhnyaya Tura, Sverdlovsk Region (Middle Urals, taiga zone) are presented in article. Studies have shown that at recultivated ash dump (№ 2) of Nizhnaya Tura power station by the age of 30–35, the formation of forest phytocenosis is proceeding. The phytocenosis formed at ash dump is consisted by mainly perennial, anemochore, meadow and forest species belonging to the boreal arealogical group of Eurasian origin. Recultivation measures have accelerated formation of flora and vegetation. A 10-year period of research has seen a significant increase in biodiversity. Recreational and pasture loads delay the settlement of tree species.
