Summary:The object of research in the article is the history of the Ural cinema, starting from the creation of the first studios in the Urals - the Sverdlovsk newsreel studio (1933), the Sverdlovsk film studio (1943) to the present time, when not only the Sverdlovsk film studio, but also other film-producing companies operate in the socio-cultural space of the region : “A-film”, “February 29”, “SNOW”, “Uralfilm”, etc. The author focuses on the work of the leading masters of feature films: Ya. Lapshin, O. Nikolaevsky, G. Kuznetsov, V. Laptev, V. Khotinenko, A. Fedorchenko; famous filmmakers and animation directors. Объектом исследования в статье является история уральского кинематографа, начиная с создания на Урале первых студий – Свердловской студии кинохроники (1933), Свердловской киностудии (1943) – до настоящего времени, когда в социокультурном пространстве региона функционирует не только Свердловская киностудия, но и другие производящие фильмы компании: «А-фильм», «29 февраля», «СНЕГА», «Уралфильм» и др. Автор акцентирует внимание на творчестве ведущих мастеров игрового кино: Я. Лапшина, О. Николаевского, Г. Кузнецова, В. Лаптева, В. Хотиненко, А.
