Summary:This paper shows up the relationship between natural resource use, migration, and transformation of human settlements in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It highlights the types of post-Soviet transformation of human settlements. The link of the settlement’s transformation type with migration, natural resource use, geographical and ethnic factors is shown. Показана взаимосвязь ресурсопользования, миграции и трансформации поселений в Республике Саха (Якутия). Выделены типы постсоветской трансформации поселений и показана связь трансформации поселений с миграцией, ресурсопользованием, географическим и этническим факторами.
