THANK YOU We would like to express our thanks to everyone in the community for their support to Jesse and to our family during our recent tragedy. After falling from a moving vehicle,he was taken by the Magrath ambulance to first Magrath Hospital and then to the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. He was then diagnosed with a moderate to severe head injury & had to go by air ambulance to the Alberta Children's Hospital. Jesse was in ICU from Wed. to Sat. The first 72 hrs was a very critical time for him. He was in the Children's Hospital for 12 days & has had a remarkable recovery. He is home now & we are so very grateful. With a brain injury most of the recovery is in 6-12 months & hopefully Jesse will have a full recovery. We thank each of you - we appreciate all the love & support & prayers that were said on our behalf. We had excellent medical care & wondeful support from the community. Thank you all again. We would also like to thank all those that supported the Charity Golf put on by the Magrath Golf Club. We apppreciate & are grateful for all that has been done. Jesse Salmon. We want to extend a special Thank-You to Bill Sterling, Fred Baskerville, Brian Oliver & John Bourne, for all their work & effort to make the day a success. We are happy & fortunate that Greg, Dustin, Jesse & Lome have recovered so well. Our family has donated our share of the fund-raising monies back to the golfing committee to donate to a charity of their choice or to be split among the Henry, Rarick & Salmon families whose expenses were greater than ours in the unfortunate incident. A special thanks to Dr. Regehr & the great nurses at the Magrath Hospital for their quick & professional initial treatment of Greg & Dustin & to Dr. K. Chan of Lethbridge who prepared the 3 boys so well & carefully for their trip to Calgary. Even in these times of cutbacks, when expert & immediate care is needed, it is still available. We ask that friends remember their organ donor cards & please remember charities such as STARS ambulance when making donations. We all know that accidents happen & often they are no ones fault. We strongly urge all of our young people & indeed everyone to "play safe" & learn to say no to the things in this world that are hard on their health. Herb McKelvey Family.
