Dave Clark is the head coach with Jim Moore, Rob Ripley & Jim Henderson as assistant coaches. This is the 3rd season for them in the league, and the first season with players with 2 yrs. experience. Players returning this year include J.D. Clark, Josh Alston, Brett Gurney, Wayne Kinder, Andre Labbe, Hugh Beckstead, Darren Balderson, Jordan Jensen, Jonathan Toone, Jordan Heath, and Chad Peterson. Rookies expected to become part of the team are Brooks Blackmer, Jimmy Baldersoii, Ben Wood, Eric Godionton, Tanner Godionton & Matt Harris . ****** MAGRATH MINOR HOCKEY Is holding their registration for the 1995-96 season on Wednesday, September 13th from 7-9 in the evening and on Saturday, September 16th from 10-12 a.m. at the ice arena. There will be a late registration fee of $25.00 charged after September 16th. ****** <• 1 r LIBRARY NEWS: HIGH SCHOOLERS: 64 High School students signed up for our summer reading program. That's 20 more than last year. We gave away free slurpees each day. Thank you Blue Goose and a free movie rental each week, thank you The Store. These prizes accounted for a high rate of visits. Prize winners were: Twila Grusendorf & Aubrey Davies. They each won a movie poster & notebooks with pencils. Writers: Christy Fillmore & the Kirsten Bly- Amy Thomson combo won gift certificates from Ye Olde Booke Shoppe. Kathleen Johnson & Tami Bly won passes to the Movie Mill. Thank you Chris. Winning Villain Makers were Michael Bly & Christy Fillmore who each won a Batman Forever T-shirt. Bat-Cave-Design was won by Christy Fillmore, The prize was a pass to the Movie Mill. In loving Memory of Mary Elder Dudley Wife of the late Wallace Dudley, passed away on August 24th, 1995 at the age of 96 years. Mary was born July 16, 1899 in Rexburg, Idaho. Mary & Wallace were married February 24, 1922. She leaves to mourn, her children: Mary (L.B.) Tanner of Magrath; Maxine (Jack) Bridge of Seoul, Korea; Dennis (Agnes) Dudley of Big Fork, Montana, Alan (Patricia) Dudley of Magrath. Mary is also survived by her sisters: Beth McDowell of Mesa, Arizona & Laverl Sears of Seattle, Washington and her brother Austin Elder of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace; daughter Phyllis Kaye; sisters: Bertha Steiner, Rachel Elder, Melba Hocking, Clara Miller, Estella Gibb, A della Bonnier & Alberta Dudley; and her brothers: Moral, Clarence, Leslie, Joseph & Rulon. Her funeral was Monday, August 28th, 1995 in the Magrath Stake Center. Officiating was Bishop Robert Rasmussen. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery. Over 30 children attended the closing party. There were games, a Reader's Theatre performed by the LDS Missionaries, the children also presented a Reader's Theatre, there were lots of treats for everyone. Prizes were give for those who had read. Overall winner was Brandon Davidsen with over 20,000 pages read. He received a T-Shirt designed for the program & a free Pass to the Movie Mill. The following children also won a T-shirt & a Movie Pass. Grade 1-2 - Bo Hatch - 408 Books Read, Grade 3-4 - Dallas McKenzie - 2850+ pages read, Grade 5-6 - Gabriella Alston - 10,085 pages read.
