Call Ron 758-6007 or Tim 758-3327 Magrath Novice Mounties As evening approached, storm clouds were seen brewing on the Northern Horizon. The Subaru Sabres & Crocodile Dundee were coming to town. Their reputation was wen known-team jackets Australian Slickers, skate boots were crocodile hide & Boomerangs were tattooed on the back of their heads, die 1st - 2 periods were like a hammock in Perth. We drew 1st blood 10 sec. into the 1st period then sunk the haft deeper 10 min later but those bushmen were quick to respond-at the end of 2 it was 4-4. Our rookie goalie David "Potvin" Harker was outstanding! On a point blankshot with on one but Mr. Freeze as his ally Harker dropped to his knees, did the butterfly better than Mark Spitz & stoned the shooter. Katby Ripley gave smelling salts to Cheryl Harker & Russ Barnett was heard quoting Winston Churchill. The Barnett Boys teamed up for 6 goals but in the 3rd period Mad Maxx strolled in wearing #11 & Tina Turner was singing die blues. Sabres 9-Mounties 6. Connor Barnett 4-0, Cole Barnett 2-0, Josh Rice 0-1, Cole Schneyder 0-1. Our next adventure was back to the plains of Abraham- Warner. Rumor had it that a team from Resolute Bay came there to play & their Eskimo coach froze to death & is buried in the rafters-I can attest to that. Despite die cold we were out to even the score. Cole Barnett unloaded 50* out & the goalie, goal, boards & Zambonie had to be replaced. Connor Barnett thought that he was a loom as he weaved the finest rug this side of Persia & padded it with a goaL Casey Hillmer went back to his roots in Scotland & found himself in a Rugby scrum & plowed one through the posts. A valiant effort in a 6-3 loss. Casey Hillmer 1-2, Connor Barnett 1-0, Cole Barnett 1-0. ANNUAL MAGRATH ROD & GUN v TURKEY SHOOT AND TURKEY BINGO Dec. 5th to Dec. 20th in the Trading Co.
