However, even with our decline in production, our revenues from oil have increased, but only because of the increase in the world price of crude oil. At present, our position in regard to natural gas is not nearly as critical as that of oil production. Now to get back to the Heritage Savings Trust Fund, I will admit that many people including the Opposition, are very citical of the Fund. Latil now, it has been very difficult to defend the concept because it was something that had never been tried before. If have anything you would like to suggest or discuss drop in between 3 and 4 - Board Room, second floor, you would be most welcome. Yesterday we we discussed memberships. Last September we started our Membership DriVe for 1976 to January 1978. One hundred and sixty four Magrath and District Senior Citizens paid $5 each for , their membership cards. At that time all we had to offer was enthusiasm for what we hoped would be. Because of Tom Norton's enthusiasm arid his "know how" gained from previous experiences in remodelling old 1 buildings the Drop In Center is rapidly ( becoming a very fine Centre. We have received generous grants from New Horizons i and Manpower. However, if we are to equip the Center as we would like to have it we need more money. We sincerely urge all senior citizens and those who will be senior citizens in 10 years to come and join us. Membership age - 55 years and over. If anyone would like to make a cash donation or donate anything useful for the Center your contribution would be very much appreciated. Please contact Janet Bouchhr 758-3118 for Membership cards. We hope the Gala Opening will be around the middle of May. Drop in anytime to see how things are progressing.
