ATTENTION NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF MAGRATH & SURROUNDING AREA With recent cuts to funding of Health Care in Magrath, noticeable changes will be taking place. The acute care beds in the hospital will be closed on June 1st, 1995. We will have 3 "swing beds" for 24 hours observation & care. There will be no planned baby deliveries & no major surgery in Magrath, however, these procedures can be scheduled at the Raymond, Cardston or Lethbridge Hospitals withyouMagrath physicians. With respect to Doctor's after clinic hours: Weekend & night calls will be shared by the Dahl Clinic and the Magrath Clinic. Please call the Hospital (758-3371) to find out who is on call. Follow-up care can be arranged during clinic hours with your regular family physician. Needed - Volunteers to sell quilt raffle tickets at various Malls in Lethbridge for the next 3 fridays. Shifts are 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; 1:30­5:30 and 5:30-9 p.m. Call Ann Fazikos at 758­6425 or The Library 758-6498, if you could help out. The Library has a copy of the manual & the 16 tapes form "Let's Fix the Kids' Siminar. They are available for loan on a 1 week basis - limit of 2 tapes per patron. One or two niofnings ai month. * Can you play the piano? We have all the music books you'll need. Come & play old time favorites for the patients after lunch or supper, 1/2 hr. twice a month. We are very flexible. *Needed immediately, a volunteer to massage hands, clean & paint fingernails. One or two mornings a month. Hands are an important part of what a patient sees of him/herself. *Volunteer needed to come in after breadfast once a week to update patients on current events in the community and around the world. *If you would like to volunteer for any of these or another position available please contact. An informative report was given by Lydia Brunner on the Diocesan Convention that was held in Milk River this year. Reports were given on the Funeral Lunch done for Ludwig Brunner & on the Rhubarb Tea held at the Lodge on June 3, which was well attended & enjoyed by all who attended.
