Green peas are.the moat popular of ull frozen vegetables and the annual pack Is larger than that of any other vegetable. Nevertheless, some frozen peas have an off-flavour, A study showed that most of the trouble came from the delay between harvesting 1 in the field and processing. The longer the peas wait after they are harvested and removed from the pods, the more pronounced is othe off-flavour which they develop. Leaving the peas in the pod until just before blanching helps considerably in preventing the trouble, scientists found. NEW CURTAINS HAVE ARRIVED IN THE Dry Goods Dept. Various styles and colors.
