Holman are happy to announce the birth of a daughter Kimberly Ann, Sept. 4th in Portland, Oregon. Before that tine the Mag-rath & District Chamber of will call a General Meeting at Magrath and will submit to the public all infonnation available to the®. The Alberta Chamber of Commerce has en­dorsed our resolution that NO BRANCH LINES BE ABANDONED UNTIL SOME FLAN IS SUBMITTED WHICH IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE PRODUCERS. Tour chamber will be rep­resented at the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Chamber of Ccnmerce to be held at Saskatoon, Sept. 21 - 24th. Lora Harker. Bunday, September 7th, families and friends of the Merri Miss graduat­ing Class of the Magrath 1st Ward Primary gathered in the Relief Society Room. As each guest arrived, a lei was placed about their neck. A short program was presented with Mary Joy Isaacson giving the address of welcomej “Light Divine” was sung, and Barbara Balderson gave the opening prayer. Kathy Hillmer gave a musical reading “Stairway to Lasting Joy". Jacqueline Ackroyd introduced the guest speaker, Marie Stevenson. The graduat­ing class sang “Merri Mis4* Song and Graduation Song. Consents of Graduation Requirements were given by Glenn Fletcher and certificates and a gift were pre: . to ®<ch girl. The closing song "Where Love Is" was sung and Lisa Pilling offered the closing prayer. Born in Centre Creek, Utah, she came to Canada, in 1899» In 1912 she married George Romeril and »jade her heme in Raymond until 1946 when she Roved to Nanaimo, B.C9 She returned in 1968 aaking her home in Magrath with her daughter« Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by three daughters Mrs« Sam (Millie) Dyson of . Kelowna, B.C., Mrs. Rulon (Marguerite) Thoaeon of Magrath and Mrs. Mac (Rachel) Perrett of Nanaimo, B.C,, and one son Allan (Buster) Rcneril of Lethbridge; 20 grandchildren and 1$ great grandchildren« She was also predeceased by a son Sydney« Funeral services were held in the Magrath L&D.S. Chapel Tuesday, Bishop 41 *n Dudley off­iciated. Interment took place in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. Our child’s collie dog was found dead Tuesday morning by the side of our bam« He had been shot with, what wc beliove to be, a 22 rifle. The child and dog were constant companions.
