Mrs. Doris Annie Larson of Diamond Willow Terrace Lodge, beloved wife of the late Arvid Larson, passed away on Monday, December 8th, 1986 at the age of 78 years. Doris was born on January 16, 1908 in Wands­worth, England and roved to the Twin River area with her parents in 1919. She married Arvid Larson in 1930. They purchased the Twin River General Store and Post Office and also began farming, retiring from farming in 1974. They spent their winters in Arizona and moved to Magrath in as in 1979. She moved to the Derrace in July of 1983. Doris was active in many comnunity organizations well as the United Church. She taught Sunday School Del Bonita for marry years. She is surived by one daughter Nadine (Dr. Jack) Kenney of Victoria, B.C.; one son Jack Larson of Ind­onesia; six granddaughters, one grandson; four sisters Mrs. May Weiss of Fort McMurray, Mrs. Vera (John) Althen of Twin River, Mrs. Ethel (Alex) Boyer of Devon and Mrs. Nada (John) Light of Calgary; two brothers Albert (Bernice) Robinson and Ken (Margaret) Robinson of Del Bonita; 39 nieces and nephews. Besides her loving husband, Arvid, she was predeceas ed by her mother and father Annie and Albert Robinson; one sister and one brother. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 13th in McKillop United Church, Lethbridge, with Rev. Douglas Dunn officiating. Interment followed in Archmount Memorial Gardens. Bolokoski's PeeWees playing 2 league games and Barry Owens' Atoms "B" team playing 1 league game. The Atoms "A" game was cancelled due to illness. NOVICE: Dec. 11 coaldale vs Magrath at home saw the vis­itors defeat Magrath 13-0. Dec. 13 Vauxhall at Magrath ended in a 2-2 tie. Magrath goals scored by Kinn Wet her-elt and Stephen Ackroyd, assisted by Bryce Strate. Dec. 13 exhibition game at Raymond with the visiting Magrath team being defeated 14-8.
