Thank you for your support! Magrath Wolverines played 2 more games this past week. Last Wednesday they travelled to Raymond where they were defeated 45 - 0 by a powerful Raymond team. On Saturday they played well holding the Kainai Eagles scoreless in the first half but ending up losing 26 - 0. They are improving each game and hope to pick up some wins before. In the Junior Varsity game and Kainai tied 6-6. Jordan Heath scored the touch down for Magrath on a 15 yard run. The next game for the Wolverines is at home an Saturday at 10:00 A.M. against the Lethbridge Lions. The executive wishes to thank those who have donated funds this past week. Donations were received from Winnie Ehlert, Karnia Hacher, Geraldine Ripley and Marc's Concrete. We still need to raise approximately $3000.00 A reminder that this Friday Sept. 24th, Minor Football will hold their spaghetti supper in the elementary school cafeteria from 6-8. Please come out and support the boys and Minor Football. * A***A * BASKETBALL FALL LEAGUE The Magrath Zeniths Alumni is again sponsoring a fall men’s/school basketball league. This league will consist of about 6 teams who will play 7 or 8 games before November, beginning on Thursday, September 23rd. Each team will have 4 men and 4 Jr/Sr. high school players. AU men in the community wishing to play, please call Bill Alston at 758­6895 and leave your name. League fee is $10.00 for each player over 18. Call soon, because we start up this week. School player's may sign up with Mr. Tollestrup. ICED TEA Pour 2 cups boiling water over 4 tea bags and steep for 15 minutes.
