Reas­onable rates. Kristian Arvid Etty Engen, beloved son of Dorothy and Mel Engen, passed away suddenly in a traffic accident Friday, April 22, 1983. years of age. ' Born in Vancouver on he came with his family 1975. During his school wrestling and won many.gold and silver medals in his weight class in Alberta, In recent years he became interested in photography and his family took pride and pleasure in showing and displaying his art work. Kris was a hard worker and valuable employee wherever he went. Left to love and remember him are his mother Dorothy, his father Mel, brothers Aaron, Donald, Eden, Gaalan and Jordan, sisters Heidi Welch of Lovell, Wyoming and Kyrie at home; his gtandmother Mrs. Myrtle Judge of Blairmore and great grandfather Edward Toole of Med­icine Hat. Funeral services were held in the Magrath LDS Chapel Monday afternoon with Bishop Tom Karren officiating. The family prayer was offered by Wendell Welch. Mrs. Vinessa Hamilton presided at the piano for pre­lude and postlude music. Lydia Brunner and Viola Miller attended the Memorial Register. Kay Bennett was usher. The opening hymn by the choir was "Not Now But In the Coming Years" accompanied by Vinessa Hamilton with Gary Stringam as chorister. Invocation was offered by Burns Alston. The biography was given by brother Aaron Engen. A vocal duet "The Skybird" was sung by Mona Kado and Barbara Craig accompanied by Toni Stringam. Speaker for the service was Phil Proctor, A Male Quartet by Brook, Lance, Doug and Mark Harker sang "Abide With Me" accomp­anied by Kathleen Harker. Closing re­marks were by Bishop Tom Karren. Bishop Bob West offered the benediction. Honorary Pallbearers were Chris Cihota, Wendell Welch and Derrel Taylor. Active­Pallbearers were Aaron Engen, Tom Alston Murray Proctor, Marold Jenson, Rod Ririe and John Stanek. Attendants to the bride were Linda Mendenhall, maid of honor; Barbie Stringam and Michelle Hasagawa were bridesmaids. The groom chose his brother Michael Schneyder as best man, groomsmen were Lee Stringam and Wesley billmer. Ushers were Bob Schneyder and 'ary Stanford. A wedding dinner following the cere­mony was held in the Cultural Hall with ;red & Harriet Strate as greeters. The «aster of Ceremonies for the program -,as an uncle of the bride Gerry Crapo. In this week’s storm, 3 to 4" of wet snow (4 to 6" at high elevations) was dumped in the south country in the snowfall which began around 9 a.m. and lasted approximately 12 hours. Power lines went down and Magrath and area1 was without power from approximately 9 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when the first power was restored. Remaining areas in the town and district were without Dower up td around 10 a.m. Tuesday and reports from the Twin River area Tuesday afternoon were that they were still without power at that time. In spite of the wet, is welcomed and yes, of the inconvenience slushy "mess" the moistu-by farmers and ranchers - by the town dwellers as well for the lawns and gardens will surely bene fit.
