This romantic comedy, directed by Davilyn Atwood will leave you laughing at the crazy antics of May Wilder (Leanne Sabey) who has decided to get married that day and all she needs is a groom. The groom she decides on is Lionel Stark (Larry Murray) who is innocently sitting on a park bench. It gets really zany when you add the wedding party of her sister and brother-in-law (Senta Gast and Randy Leavitt), her mother (Sandi McClung) and the preacher (Bob Mothersell). You’ll have to come and see what Scott Bogdan will be doing. This is fun for everyone to enjoy. The evening begins at the Magrath United Church February 7th, 8th and 9th at 7:00 p.m. with a fantastic roast beef dinner catered by Vinnie Jensen. Tickets are $20 per person. Local entertainment will be featured every evening. Please note the addition from last year of the Thursday night meal due to sold out performances last year. We are also offering Wednesday, February 6th “Performance Only” (no meal) with tickets only $5. Tickets are on sale at the Magrath Pharmacy or call Laurel Bennett at 758-6222. J I Still plenty of ice and drifts along the Milk ’ River. When we arrived one of the milk cows (a . good one) was bloated, (alfalfa bloat) There we were I miles from no where and no medicine. She was a • big cow and she kept getting bigger. Baking soda I and a stick in the mouth was of no avail. Lon j Hovey, in charge, said 2 oz. of turpentine would . save her. (Family Herald prescription). But we had | none on the place. He suggested Stringhams. There • and back, a good 14 miles. He held a knife ready in 1 case she toppled over. (The spot 6” from the hip- J bone). J.L. was there himself. He produced a gallon . of turpentine and then a bottle of Colic & Bloat | Ease. He told us they had lost a number of cattle on ■ the ice. They fall and fracture their backbone. The men were out skinning cattle at the time. We gave I old boss the works. Two ounces of turpentine and * then 6 tablespoons of bloat ease and repeated the latter every 20 minutes. After the third dose the pain | seemed to ease and her hide began to get a little ■ softer. I At dark we left, after four hours of frontier efforts to save her life. We ordered a gallon of , turpentine and two bottles of Colic and Bloat Ease | included in the next order to Twin River. We don’t ■ know so much about the turpentine, but it would • not hurt to have a little on the place.
