Mrs. Clark is the former Kristie Miller, daughter of Mrs. Ethel Miller, The bachelor minister moved to a new church. The first morning in the parsonage, he heard his housekeeper singing, "Nearer God to Thee" over and over as she prepared breakfast, "What a wonderful surprise to find you’re such a religious person", he told her warmly, "It’s what I boil eggs by, she said, "three verses for soft, five for hard". The Magrath Merchants captured top honors in the Blood Reserve Invitational Basketball Tournament held in the Senator Gladstone Hall during the weekend when they squeezed by Lethbridge Capri Restaurant by a 62-61 score in the final game. Eight teams took part in the two day event. Members of the Magrath Merchants Basketball team include Jim Cook, Rodney Bly, Dave Lowry, Addie Bourne, Garth Veale Johnnie Mehew, Duane Schaufert, Allan Nalder, Robert Clifton, Wayne Miller and Hans Hansen.
