Dr, and Mrs, L, A, Miller of St. Johns, Newfoundland, parents of Mrs, Robert Balder- con of Ottawa, were guests of Mr, and Firs, F, F, Balderson last week. They left Thurs­day for Vancouver to visit their son and daughter-in-law. Dr, Miller remarked that it requires a bigger investment to go farming than it does to go fishing. Patients in the Magrath Municipal Hospital during the past week included Mrs. Freda Fletcher, Mr. Anton Kearns, Mrs, Sadie Taylor, Mr. Ora Sommerfeldt, Mr, Hugo Hillmer, Fir, Hans Hansen, Mary Rose Maxwell, Mrs. Frances Manzke, Mrs. Beatrice Pascal, Vynet Miller, Jennifer Bird, Mrs, Susie E, Entz and daughter, Firs. Jack McClain and daughter and Mrs. Del~1 a. Holla­day. The Women’s Hospital Auxi 1 iary will hold its annual Florence Nightengale Tea and Bake Sale Saturday May 11th in the Lions Club Rooms, Featured will be angel cakes, beef and turkey pies, limited number of boxes of home made candy. To be raffled is a tupperware "lazy Susan" filled with home­made candy, Tickets on this are available from any member of the Auxiliary or at the door. There will be no phone orders or pre-sales. Among other business items dealt with was the motion to hold a Tea and Bake Sale on June 15th; the upcoming First Communion on June 23rd; and the payment of 1968 - 69 membership fees, The next meeting is scheduled for Mon­day, June 3rd at the home of Firs. N. Mucci- aroni. Mr. and Mrs, Varge Landy and family are visiting from Texas, guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Steve Landy and Mrs. Vada James. SEEN & HEARD Members of the Magrath Lions Club enjoyed a delicious trout supper Wednesday evening prepared by Lioness Doreen Alston. The meal was made possible by the invita­tion of Lion Elden Christensen who asked the Club members out to his pond to catch the fish. It was evident that a number of the Lions had not done any fishing for gin' t.e sometime. Charter Lion J. Alfred Ririe caught his share however land?mg. three while two members of reputable fishing skill hai to rely un the luck of fellow Lions for their contribution to the supper for they did not get so much as a nibble on their well baited hooks.
