THE MAGRaTH TRADING COMPANY LIMITED s. AUTOMATIC CHOKE " Before and during the C. -stmas hoii daysf foe had grief aalore with ôur Buick, Three " or four times pulled to the garage. Gas line, anti'freeze, carburator, spark plugs, etc. checked but of no avail. After a complete overhaul, the mechanic discovered the cause was the automatic choke not functioning. It regulates the air fuel ratio and prevents flooding, so we were told. J ' ■> Ifen with an automatic choke would have prevented drunkeness, poverty, broken homes, alcoholic poisoning, etc. • Henry Ford invented the first automobile and forgot to put in a reverse gear. Someone forgot to put an automatic choke in the first man. ' The world would have been a happier place in which to live. . Editorial in January Lions Magazine, ïb,ge 2; "The most important thing we can do as lions is to help youth. As adults it’s too .Late for us to causé any real change in the world. But our children can, and we have just got to help them, ’ It’s later than you thinkj and next month we’ll start our articles to help you plan”. LETHBRIDGE FEEDERS . You may deceive all the people part of the time, and part of thé people all of the • tiiie but not all the people all of .the time." — Abraham Tn n coin. WISDOM Far away from the stem Marxist incentives that Peking devises for the people of China, the director of a Chinese bank in a southern Malayan state produced the fol 1owing 10 commandments for his employees: 1. Don’t lie. It wastes my time and yours, ' I'am sure to catch you in the end. ' 2. Watch your work and not the clock. A long day’s work makes a long day short, and a short day’s work makes my face long. 3. Give me more than I expect, and I will pay. you more than you expect. I can afford to increase your pay if you increase my profits. 4. Keep out of debt. You owe so much to yourself that you cannot afford to owe anybody else. ' 5. Dishonesty is never an accident. 6. Mind your own business, and in tins you will have a business of your own to mind. 7. Don’t do anything here that hurts your self-respect. The employee who is capable of stealing for me, is capable of stealing from me. ’ 8. It’s none of my business what you do at night, but if dissipation affects what you do next day you will last half as long as you hope. 9. Don’t tell me what I would like to hear, but what I ought to hear. I don’t want a valet for my vanity, but for my money. 10. Don’t kick if I kick. If you are worth correcting you are worth keeping, — London Observer Service. / A pioneer of Magrath and long time resident of the Del Bonita district, Peter W. THE WOEFUL SHEPHERD A "Double Barreled" Threat, Domestic wool and lamb producers are looking into the muzzle of a double barreled weapon. First: Imports of lamb and mutton from New Zealand into Canada from January to October were 709 thousand head.
