Musical Pre­lude was by Vinessa Hamilton. The opening hymn by the choir was "0 My Father" with the invocation offered by Robert Taylor. Lester Henderson gave the biography of the late Mrs. Henerson. Special musical renditions were "Prayer Perfect" by Shirley Bennett, Charlotte Fletcher and Bessie Cook accompanied by Carol Lowry and a quartet "Not Nov But in the Coming Years" by Cal Alston, L. B. Tanner Eldon Coleman and Howard Fletcher accompanied by Vinessa Hamilton; Speaker for the service was Reed Coleman with closing remarks by Bishop Alston. The closing hymn by the choir was "God Be With You", the benediction was offered by Ray Danner. An cello—organ duet "Going Home' was rendered by Marjorie Balderson and Maude Ririe. Ushers were Lloyd Sabey and Clyde Spencer. Shelton Ririe was in charge of the parking of cars. Pallbearers were Kimball Taylor, Barry Tellestrup, Gerald Bennett, James Cook, Ted Bly and Melvin Bingham. They participated in many classes including Dance Technique, Basic Drill, and Leadership training. Each member learned new dances or drills and entered in camp competitions. A total of 22 ribbons including 8 First Place ribbons were awarded the High­steppers . Barbara Pilling, Sherylin Atwood, Kelly Neilson, Deedan Atwood and Trudy Gilbert, accompanied by Kathleen Harker and Marie Stevenson, ' advisors. Thanks to Deanne Atwood for chauffeuring some of us down and back. . Dr & Mrs. S.C. Brewerton have re­turned home from a holiday in Europe and _Ireland. They were accompanied on their return by their son Byrnie who fulfilled a two year mission in Denmark. BARBECUE AT THE FISH The Magrath-Cardston Marching Band left Thursday last for Mont­real and the Olympics where they are scheduled to perform at four guest appearances. The Band competed in the Calgary Stampede before leaving for the Olympics with outstanding success. They won the be,st Cana­dian brass band overall award for towns under 40,000 people, the best Canadian band overall award for towns under 40,000, the best Canadian brass band in open comp­etition award and a special award for excellent performance. The average age of the band members is 15. The Magrath Golf Club held a most successful 2'Ball Foursome Wednesday, July 14th when some 87 members took part in the golf which was followed by a barbecue supper. The Ladies Golf Club under the direction of Pres. Marge Balderson took charge of the event with Mrs. Mary Tanner and Mrs. Melba Hocking in charge of the prizes and Mrs. Georgina Fyfe and Mrs. Sue Mikado in charge of the lunch.
