A devotional Christmas message was given by Mrs. Greta TMi followed by a delicious Pot Luck supper served by the Carol singing was enjoyed led by Mrs. Kay and accompanied by Mrs. Beverly annual Christmas Pot Luck President Janet Kay was lOTS Men’s Club. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Secretary Beverly Pashuk afterwhich Christmas readings were given by Nonna Owens and Christmas vocal solos rendered by Jeanne Perry accompanied by Mrs. Pashuk. Rams travelled to Magrath for an encounter with the thgrath Zeniths and were defeated 52—43» Top scorer for Magrath was David Long with 11 points. In the "B" Preliminary game, Magrath Eagles defeated L.C.I. 51-37 with Rick Ponomar top man for Ifegrath with 16 points. Santa arrived to distribute candy bags to every child, A pot luck lunch was enjoyed by everyone. The Ifegrath Curling Club’s annual Opening Mixed Bonspiel concluded at the weekend with prizes awarded Friday evening. The Melvin Heggie Rink with team mates Greta and Dean Anderson and Ross Robinson won the first event. Second Event winners were Dan Mai and his rates Billy Whitt, John Unzak and Eiden Christensen. Third Event winners were Woody Anderson’s team with wife Jessolyn, son Terry and Cliff Whitt. Saturday and Sunday the "Silver Dollar" Jackpot Bonspiel was held with the Iyle Davies Rink of Lethbridge winning the first event and the Hutchinson crew of Warner capturing the Second Event. Miss Joan Steed arrived Monday from Toronto to spend Christmas with her parents Mr, and Mrs, Norman Christensen and Kim.
