Venna May Caldwill, beloved wife of Mr. Charles Caldwell passed away in the Magrath General Hospital June 11th, 1987 in her 76th year. She was born in Woolford, Alberta on March 14th, 1911. She resided in Alberta all her life. She is survived by eight children; David (Linda) of Morgan Hill, Calif., Cliff­ord (Leslie) of Milton, Ont; Betty Caldwell of Palm Springs, Calif.; Shirley Edwards of Magrath; Ted (Chris) of Collingston, Utah; Merle (David) Blumell of Rosemary, Alta, and Barbara Caldwell of Magrath; 35 grand­Keep your hair comfortable for Summer with a Toni - the Home Perm in Gentle, Regular, Super. Sarah Hoore and Bertha Bennett attended the Memorial Book. Opening remarks were given by Bishop Ririe. The opening Hymn "Nearer My God To Thee" wa sung by the choir with Fontella Trainer, Chorister, and Renee Nordquist as organist. : Invocation was offered by David Caldwell. Willis Pitcher gave the biography, sang as a solo "Goin by Alma Davies. Speaker for the Karren. The closing Hour" was sung by the choir, offered the benediction. ' « Honorary Pallbearers were members of the Lion's Club. Active Pallbearers were John Caldwell, Curtis Caldwell, David Blumell, Marvin Sillito, Jack Kearl and Stan Hoare. ! Interment took place in Archmount Cem­etery, with Ted Caldwell dedicating the grave. On Tuesday they lost their first league game by dropping an 8-7 decision to Ray­mond. Danny Balderson with a 2 run home-run and Bart Harris with a bases loaded triple pro­vided much of the offense for the Pirates. On Friday they edged Lethbridge Yankees 6-5 as Troy Speelman was the winning pitcher with relief help from Bart Harris. The Pirates remain in first place in the Lakeside Little League with their last home league games Friday night and Saturday morning. Ray farmed in the Spring Coulee area. He was a Past District Deputy Grand Master of Chief Mountain Masonic Lodge, and was active in the O.E.S. at Card­ston. He was a member of the Scotish Rite in Leth­bridge. He had. been active in the Spring Coulee United Church; was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed hi s hobby as Ham Radio Operator - call’ number VE6CLR Predeceased by his wife Helen on December 8th, 1984, he is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Long of' Lethbridge, a daughter Mary (Gary) Saloff of Lethbridge, a son Bill of Spring Coulee and a sister Lois Long of Calgary. Funeral Services were held in the Salmon Funeral Chapel with Rev. Douglas Hinn officiating. • ' Interment took place in the Fami ly Plot in the Mountain View.Cemetery. Bake % cup margarine 2 eggs 3/4 cup flour % tsp salt cup nuts. Mix together and spread in 9x13 at 350' for 15 min. Remove from oven and cover with 2^ cups of miniature marshmallows. Put back in oven until marshmallows are melted. Combine in saucepan 6 oz. pkg. of butterscotch chips and 1 cup peanut butter. Heat until all is of melted. Remove from heat and add 2 cups Rice Krispies. Spread over marshmallow layer and cool. Real yummy. "Enjoy"!! Mrs. Fern Moors is home from California where she spent the past seven weeks.
