A TRIBUTE; I wish to acknowledge with thanks and appreciation the many notes, presentations and kind gestures received from parents and students with whom I’ve been closely associated in the past. It has been my privilege to direct in a measure, the lives of many boys and girls - hundreds of them. No two were alike, but I liked them all - each as an individual. They gave me much - more perhaps than I gave them. Parents, yes and grandparents, have been wonderful. I have learned that children know the true meaning of gratitude. They do not resent discipline, and appreciate order in the classroom. Also, I have enjoyed the cooperation of many dedicated teachers. Their allegiance has made my work enjoyable and satisfying. I’ve had forty one years of rich experience, with but five days absence due to sickness. We have had some good board members who did much for Ifegrath, A teacher who loves children will enjoy the work and hence will be successful. Any teacher who dislikes the work should resign. TEACHERS ARE BORN, NOT MADEi • Respectfully submitted. B. W. Dow. The item WSchool Teacher Interview" by Mr. Ririe in last week* s issue of the Magrath Store News was appreciated. It is my opinion something more should be done re - our rights as tax payers. Why do not the trustees and local school board call a public meeting to discuss the situation regarding the rights of Magrath tax payers. We pay the bigger share of the school taxes yet do not seem'to receive equal benefit. Hans Pfeffel, Pres.
