The club judged two classes of yearling heifers and one class of yearling bulls. The judge, Mr. Lloyd Meldrum of Mag-rath, gave an interesting talk on what to look for in beef cattle. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coleman and family, of Preston, Idaho were Magrath visitors during the weekend, and were in attend­ance at his grandfather’s funeral, that of George Coleman which was held Satur­day afternoon. They also attended the funeral service of his uncle, the late George Coleman which took place Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Claus Frenzil and family have returned from Saskatoon to spend the spring and summer in Magrath visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. Cal Alston and Mr. and Mrs. Heinz Frenzil. George Theodore Coleman, beloved husband of the late Violet Coleman, passed away Tuesday, April 13th at the age of 86 years. Born in Smoot, Wyoming, he came to Canada in 1903. On June 11th, 1910 he married Violet Jensen and they resided in the Magrath area where he engaged in farming until retiring in 1960. He is survived by sons Garth Coleman and Reed Coleman of Magrath, Meade Coleman of Surrey, B.G.; one daughter Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Clifton of Seattle; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; three sisters Bertha Bennett of Magrath, Elva Passey of Rigby, Idaho and Claire Wiedeman of Lewistown, Mont. He was predeceased by his wife.in 1962. Funeral services were held in the Magrath L.D.S. Chapel Saturday afternoon with Bishop Tyler Alston officiating. The family prayer was offered by Ross Coleman, ied the choir in the opening hymn "Come Follow ter. Invocation was offered by Lamar Bennett. L.R. Jensen followed by a vocal quartet " Moyle Pilling, Charlotte and Glenn Fletcher; Jay Christensen. Closing hymn by the choir was with Doug Alston offering the benediction. Pallbearers were Gordon Coleman, Keith Bennett, Gaelynd Pilling, Ken Miller, Eldon Coleman, Art Wiedeman. Interment took place in the Magrath Cemetery with Paul Coleman giving the graveside prayer. • Alma Davies presided at the organ and accompan- Me" with Mary Baker choris- The biography was given by Goin Home" by Maureen Rasmussen, speaker for the service was "I Need Thee Every Hour" Oskar Fuhrmann passed away Friday, April 16th at the age of 84 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Emelie Fuhrmann. Mr. Fuhrmann was born in Berestetke, Ukrain, May 8, 1891 and came to Canada settling in Magrath in 1951, purch­asing a farm south west of Magrath. He is survived by his loving wife, six children Olga Irmert, Reinhold and Arnold Fuhrmann all of Calgary, Albert Euhrmann of Magrath, Erna Grolmus and Irma Winkel of Calgary; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Christensen Chapel Sunday, April 18th at 2 P.M. with Brother _James Penton officiating. Interment took place in the Magrath Cemetery. - Friends were sorry to hear of the death of Heber George Sheen, nephew of Mrs. Ruth Hovey. He passed away following a motor vehicle accident Friday evening. He was 20 years of age.
