Ron Johnstone officiating. Musical numbers rendered included a vocal solo "In The Garden ” by Ed Newton accompanied by Miss Kathy Newton and the congregation sang "Abide With Me". Pall­bearers were Corry Gra-geland, Floyd Rasmussen, George F ;gin, Bob Minzke, Latham Bowen and Bill Secretan, Interment took place in Archmour.7 Memorial Gardens. • •*■•••• o • • e o • • CHIEF MOUNTAIN HEALTH UNIT; The office of the Chief Mountain Health Unit will be open every Tuesday and Friday from 9 A.M. - 12 noon until the end of August for registration of all new students and adults in the Magrath area9 The records have to be requested and consents sign­ed by the parents - this will assure you that you and your child* s immunization is kept up to date. It is easy to provide protection against such diseases as diptheria, whooping cough polionyelitis, tetanus, smallpox and Red Measles by innoculating against them* In the Provincial program, Tuberculin tests and booster shots are given in Grades 1,5,9 and 12 (this includes smallpox) Physicals are done on all Grade 1 students during the year and eye tests (distance vision only) on Grades 1,5,9, and grades 3 & 7 if time provides. Adults should be boostered every 5 years. Tuberculin tests biennial are carried out on all adult school personnel followed by chest x-rays of all positive reactors. Regular pre-school and adult clinics are held in Magrath every Tuesday 10 - Us30 A.M. in the Health Unit Office next to the Park Theatre on fein Street. Mrs. E. Holland, R.N. All the Holladay children and grandchildren were present with the exception of Bruce Bui 1 i.ck who is confined to hospital in Calgary, The Jfegrath Royals ladies Softball team won the annual Del Bonita ladies Invitational Softball tournament Sunday. In the first game the Royals defeated Coaldale in a close encounter winning 11-10, In the final game the Jfegrath Royals took a beating for the first three innings and then layed the bat to the Taber Royals coming up with a 3 point margin with home runs hit by Lois Dudley (1) Doreen Gurney (2) and the big blow came when with no one out, the bases loaded, Bev Owens stepped up to the plate and hit her grand slam home run. The Jfegrath Royals were presented with the annual Del Bonita tournament trophy, now on display at the Trading Co. Meat Counter, The "Champs" are: Cheryl Hansen - first base; Adeline Schmidt - second base & pitcher; Doreen Gurney - short stop and pitcher; Bonnie Foggin - third base; Sharon Whitt - left field; Lois Dudley - centre field & pitcher; Irene Whitt - right field & pitcher; Iferydell Hovey - left field; Pat Brewer - right field & pitcher; Bev Owens - catcher.
