Proceeds from the supper will be used to support the school band program including the purchase of instruments and music. Supper will be served continuously from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and entertainment will be provided by the bands. A special feature will be a per­formance by the newly formed Jazz band under the direction of Magrath's seminary teach, Tyler Mandin, who is a star performer with the Leth­bridge Big Band. Besides his loving wife Roger is surviv­ed by his step-children Crystal of Magrath, Jessie and Joey of Lethbridge. Roger is the son of the late Blaine James Anderson (deceased July 2, 1960) and Bernice Dudley Coleman and step-father Gordon Coleman of Magrath; one sister Barbara (Marc) Heggie of Magrath; step sister Judy (Brian) Sheer of Calgary; step-brother James (Dixie) Coleman of Bloomington, Minnesota; grand­mother Lydia Anderson of Magrath; 13 nieces and nephews as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Roger was a member of the LDS Church. Ee achieved the Queens Scouts Award. He Loved sports, children and music. He was currently employed as Secretary of the Magrath Irrigation District. Funeral services were held in the Magrath Stake Centre Monday, February 25, 1991 with Bishop Conway Brewerton officiating. The family prayer was off­ered by James D. Anderson. Attending the Memorial registers were Rhonda Taylor and Sharon Anderson. Alma Davies presided at the organ for the service. Opening hymn "The Test" was sung by Cam Atwood. Invocation was offer­ed by Dr. Clair Norton. Burns Alston gave the biography. A vocal solo "Lead Me Gently Home" was sung by Jack Bridge acc­ompanied bv Elaine Palmer. Speaker for the service was Emerson Blumell with closing remarks by Bishop Brewerton. The closing hymn was "At Peace" sung by L.B. Tanner and accompanied by Vinessa Hamilton. Dean Anderson offered the ben- -Jiction. Interment took place in the i'tagrath Cemetery. Honourary Pallbearers were Harold Ing, Howard Ririe, Alan Wilson, David Long, Gary Coleman, Alan Robinson, Craig Blumel, -orm Sakamoto, Brent Dudley, Cam Burr. Active Pallbearers were Greg Anderson, Barry Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Derral Taylor, David Dudley and Durant James. Grave dedication was by James Heggie. Magrath Novice played a League home game !'uday, Feb. 25th. Magrath 7, Raymond 4. Goals: Dustin Ririe 3-1; Tanner Godionton 2-2; Adam Mehew 1-2; Braedon Balderson., with 1 assist each to Rhonda Strate, Jeff Werk, Shane Miller, Wayne Kinder. Joey Ripley played terr­ific in net. The team came out flying in the third period, made some awsomepasses to catch and win the game. Feb. 23/91 and action comm­enced with Cardston gaining the upper hand over Magrath 7-2. The guys rallied for a win over Lethbridge Dresser Rand 5-2 but despite being victorious over all these teams in previous con­tests, they had two more disappointing losses to Lethbridge A.N.A.F. 4-2 and to Kainai 9-1 in the 5 team round robin resulting in a 4th place over­all. Digging out points: Darren Balderson (1-0) Matthew Stanford (2-1) Justin Harker (1-3) Michael Balderson (2-3) Kurt Robinson (2-1) Joey Zsombor (1-0) Casey Christensen (0-4) Doug Orr (0-1) Roy Kapscos (1-0) and with Andy Beres scoring his first career goal and assist!. Darren and Andy shared goal-tending duties, doing a super job. Roy Kapscos, Doug Orr, Andy Beres and Darious Mandel were recognized with Sportsmanship medal­ions for representing Magrath as good will amb­assadors and Darren Balderson, Joey Zsombor, Kurt Robinson and Matthew Stanford were presented with M.V.P. medals. Although not officially recognized Garth Reigling, with his mystifying moves, also contributed in keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Thanks to coaches Kim Christensen, Gary Stanford and Frank Zsombor for their dedica­tion to the team.
