The second, annual meeting of the Rasmus and Hannah Rasmussen family organization met in the Jfegrath Assembly Hall Saturday, July 20th with President Fontella Boehme in charge. Prayer was offered by Bennett Ras­mussen. Trumpet duet - Allen and Keith Wood­ruff. A cafeteria lunch was served. Of the original Rasmus Rasmussen pioneer (1899) .family of 11 children, four were present - Andrew of Lethbridge, Marion of Hawaii, John of Magrath and Ruth Weston of Lethbridge. Two sisters Camilla Basset and Mary Clifton, Taber, were unable to attend. Eikenberry of -Sheridan Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Whalen of Glencoe, Chic­ago were recent visitors of the F. F. Bald- ersons, F, E. Baldersons and K, Balder- sons. ' Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Jensen had as their recent guests her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Rosco Lee, Debbie and Bruce of Melton Freewater, Oregon. They attended the wedding of their son Jim Lee which took place in the Cardston Temple with a luncheon following at the Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cook and family of Calgary are visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs, Q-rvilip. Hi Timer and Mr, and Mrs. Less Cook, Mrs, Geneva Ogden and daughters uf Lethbridge were recent guests of her parents Mr. and Mrs, Ted Law. Mr. Elden Christensen returned home Monday night from a most enjoyable fishing trip in Alaska. The guest of his son Capt, Ted Christensen of Western Airlines, Mr. Christensen flew to Los Angeles to join his son and together with two companions they flew to Anchorage, King Salmon and Dilling­ham and boarding the "Flying Goose" enjoyed fishing in Alaskan rivers and lakes. During her husband’s absence, Mrs. Christensen was the guest of her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jay Christensen in Calgary. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gurney, soil Don and daughter Janice and Mrs. tfyrna Law and children are visiting in Provo, Utah, guests of Mr. and Mrs* Martin Gurney and Mr. and Mrs* Bruce Gurney and families, Mrs. Melva Witbeck of Ottawa, the former Melva Card, is visiting with friends and relatives in Magrath and district. Miss Kathleen Ann Bullock of Leth­bridge is visiting her grandparents Mr, and Mrs. L. R, Jensen. Mrs. Cliff Whitt left Wednesday for Missoula Montana where she will join her sister Mrs. Dorothy Kruger of Ronan, Mont, They will travel by jet to Washington, D,C, where they will spend three weeks visiting with relatives, Mr, Jerry Newell and David Anderson of Minneapolis arrived to visit relatives, Mr. Newell joined his wife Marilyn and daughter who is visiting her parents Mr, and Mrs. Dick Toomer, David is visiting his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Anderson. Mrs, Yvonne Sabey of Salt Lake City, Utah is visiting with her mother Mrs. Luella Turner and brother Junior. Mr, and Mrs. John Herget and family of Stirling, Mrs. Ellen Paxman of Glenwood, Mrs. Louise Sommerfeldt and Mrs. Jean Sommerfeldt and family of Vancouver were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Hovey. ».
