A GOOD PLACE TO TRADE Funeral services for the late Clarence Jensen were held in the Alberta Stake Chapel Cardston, Wednesday, October 15th with Bishop Lo Bo Tanner officiating. Family prayer was offered by Elder Wil­bur Nelson, Opening song was rendered by the 3rd Ward Quartette followed by Invoca­tion offered by A, C. Sache, Pres, Heber Jensen read the biography of the deceased and speaker for the service was Elder Cal Alston, Bishop Tanner sang "In the Garden" and the closing hymn was rendered by the 3rd Ward Quartette« Magnus Jensen offered the benediction, Fhllbearers were Rodney, Stanley, Iynn, Reed and linn Jensen and Evan Nelson, The graveside prayer was given by Einer Jensen. Interment took place in the Cardston cemet­ery. The late Mr. Jensen passed away sudden­ly in Ifegrath, Sunday, October 12th at the age of 70 years. Bom in Spring City, Utah thy 13th, 1899, he came to Cardston at an early age, later moving to Ifegrath where he had resid­ed until his passing. Survivors include three daughters Mrs, W,P. (Dorothy) Nelson of Great Falls, Mont., Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Morrison of Pincher Creek, Mrs, James (Kaye) Imes of Spirit River, Alberta; four sons Wayne of Cremona, Alberta Eddie of Claresholm, Ray of Cardston and DeVoe of Swan Hills; 27 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Verna Jensen of Cardston, Mrs, Ray (Edith) Talbot and a brother Lindon Jensen of Card­ston. • OOO Robert Bruce Bnl1ick, age 10 years, son of Beverly (Holladay) and Clayton Bulli.ck, passed away Sunday, October 12th in Calgary General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral service was held in the Forest lawn Immanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 15th with Rev. A.G. Granberg offic­iating. fellbearers were Don Graham, Ed Yerman, Ben Felker, Vem Sandersen, Glen Watson and Eldon Walls. Interment was in Forest Lawn cemetery. Bruce leave.s to mourn his passing his parents, four brothers and one sister, pat­ernal grandparents Mr, and Mrs, Howard Builink and great grandmother Mrs, Robert Bui 1 i r.k of Coronation, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wren Hol1aday and great grand­mother Mrs. Kate Morrow of Magrath. It is estimated that the people of the United States spend approximately one billion dollars each year for medication against the common cold - despite the fact that there is still no cure for the cold. Not many of us follow the advice of the great English doctor, Sir Willi am Osler who said "The best way to treat a cold is with contempt i'1 We still keep trying to get rid of its distressing and exhausting effects. Mr, and Mrs. Garth Coleman attended graduation exercises Saturday, October 17th at the University of Alberta, Calgary branch when her son-in-law Grant Fisher received his doctorate in Education. Dr, Fisher is presently Assistant Dean at the Junior College at Red Deer. He is married to the former Elaine Harker. Mr. and Mrs. F, F, Balderson have as their guests their son Dr. Robert Balderson and friends Dr, Donald O’Connor and Dr, Don Bigelow all of Ottawa who arrived by Air Canada Thursday to enjoy hunting arid Dr. Balderson will visit friends and rela­tives in the district. They leave Sunday to return to their homes. CARD OF THANKS: We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to all those who sent cards, letters, flowers and other expressions of sympathy in our recent loss of son and grandson, Bruce Bui 1 i r.k, Beverly and Clayton Bui 1 i ck Wren and Isabel! Holladay. The bees stayed in Mrs. Ririe’s flower garden one day only. ’ We should have a little honey coming but Fred couldn’t see it that way. The bottom havirlg' dropped out of wheat, bees may be a good substitute.
