Summary: | Aug. 2, 1931. Kjerulfs [Kjerulf] Fjord. Through to Dickson [Dicksons] Fjord. In background mountains on west side of Left Valley at S.E. end. In foreground: Hisinger Glacier [Hisinger Gletscher] (covered with sharp pointed hummocks and crevasses) is seen at its most northern point - which L.A.B. calls The Divide. Here it spreads out - spilling over, as it were - in huge curves and points which descend a very short distance into the southern (S.E.) end of Left Valley and throw off small streams, of which the largest flows down Left Valley, through Main Valley and into Kjerulfs [Kjerulf] Fjord. Photo taken facing west, from eastern side of Left Valley at southern end. NOTE: On opposite side above glacier distinct horizontal line conforming to present glacier level; above this, two more such lines. Have these at any time been the level of glacier? This is No. 17 in pan C.
